A lady like Sunday!

Sunday August 20, 2017

Today it was a Sunny Sunday and a hot one too but, I felt like going in an elegant direction. So, today I went with a flowy black maxi skirt from Etsy, a nice gold and black detail jacket with a bow on a front, and paired it with some shorter heels with lace detail in the back. This maxi gave me an elegant lady like feel and added structure for a great Sunday morning at church.

Church then the show!!
August 13, 2017

My initial plan was just to work the first two days and that be it this go around but when I found out the needed some extra hands for the FINALE show I decided to go ahead and go. This Sunday we only had one service so soon as church was over I headed to the show. This Sundays attire was something comfortable I could go to church in and then throw on some flats with after to run around and help with the show. The top was actually a dress from Gojane I decided to change up the look and add a pleated peach skirt with from forever 21 I got while in LA for under $8. I paired it with some old black pumps I got from Makemechic 3-4 years ago.

Its a fashion weekend!!

August 11-13,2017

Hey guys I made it back to Baltimore Fashion Week again. This year was my second year working backstage for the show and the 10th year anniversary for the Fashion Umbrella Foundation who are the host of the show each year. This three day event is full of fashion, fashion, and more fashion. Behind the scenes duties include keeping the models on track for hair and makeup, getting designers areas together, dressing models, preparing stage, and lots of other good things. This opportunity was a great thing for me as an upcoming stylist because I met a lot of great people stylist, designers, bloggers, models and business owners and just people wanting to do great things. Oh not only that my baby sister walked this year for her first time every and got picked up for designers for all three shows how exciting.

Here’s some pictures from the weekend:

Green Night!!

August 3, 2017

We were green on Thursday so I wore another dress I already had in my closet from Etsy. I wore a long sleeve light teal green dress. This dress is unique and I love it because it has a triple peplum hem in the back instead of the front. I paired this with some teal heels I got maybe 8 years ago from Charlotte russe for a nice monochromatic look.

So every year we have a state convocation and a national convocation at these time all of the church affiliated under our umbrella comes together and have services just celebrating another calendar year that we made it and are still moving forward in ministry.  Our August convocation is normally seven days and of course that makes for seven or more great dresses. I didn’t capture all of them which is a bummer  got I found some great ones but I did get a few so here is my Tuesday night look.

This dress is actually a dress I wore last year a red long dress with buttons down the side but this year I added some silver stones to the buttons and paired it with my silver glitter heels.

Here’s to the last Sunday of the Month!!

July 30, 2017

Today I again felt like wearing some polka dots just like last Sunday. I went to my closet and pulled out a dress I haven’t wore in a while.  I remember when I first purchased this dress about a year and a half ago for a Women’s Conference for my church.  That Saturday of the conference we had a ladies tea party and the theme was polka dot and vintage.  As always I went straight to my usual go to place for dresses and that’s Etsy.  They normally have everything I need and more and for amazing prices. I found this dress with the belt included I think for around $25 dollars and I just love the fact that its a maxi. I paired this dress with some purple Charlotte Russe heels I picked up on Sale for $10.

Sunday July 16, 2017

Guys I don’t know where strength came but it came and it came give full of life might I add!!

As you can see by now my Sunday style editions come from what I wear to church each week and as you can see each week  I come to church dressed up practically every Sunday.  Not only have I been taught to come  to church dressed up, I been taught  to press my way. If I  can make in and give him what is due, then to do it. So, from my previous post you see I was in LA for a brief minute and I do mean minute the Conference ended around 5pm I caught an uber to the airport shortly after to get there around 7 to make a 9pm flight to fly out  all night into the morning.  I was able to grab my car, catch a 2 hour nap, get up change clothes and get to church on time for a morning service and a afternoon service at a visiting church. Talk about tired I don’t know where strength came from but it came and I conquered Sunday July 16, 2017 and I might I add I conquered it in style check me out!!

by littleohfancyme on / Uncategorized

Saturday July 15, 2017

So the real reason why I came to LA was to get some more knowledge on how to properly maneuver  the fashion business the proper way. I watch plenty of youtube videos, seen fashion blogs,  and many more related thing of the field but I was eager to figure out the strategies of planning and doing it the right way and not look at others and say oh I want to make money.  I mean who doesn’t want to make money but the integrity behind doing something you truly love is amazing. The day was filled with awesome panels and breakout sessions ranging from “The art of wearing 50 hats in the fashion and beauty world, to how to monetize your influence, to building your SEO, to blogging 101 and many more…

I took away so many key nuggets from the speakers and really felt empowered about walking into this new endeavor.

Here are some pictures from the event Oh yeah I got to Meet the one and only Celebrity

Designer Michael Costello and many more…..
